Thank you! We raised $55,083 for trails!

Together, We Raised Over $55,000 With $5 A Foot

We are happy to announce Brian Mott as the winner of this year’s 5 Bucks a Foot Santa Cruz Bicycles Heckler SL custom build! Brian is a longtime supporter of SBTS who has done it all: raced Grinduro and Lost and Found Gravel Festival, cheered on his friends at the Downieville Classic Mountain Bike Race and Festival, and donated to numerous SBTS fundraisers. After reading about Connected Communities in 2021, he stepped up to the Vision Circle donor level so he could better support the project that proposes a multi-use singletrack between 15 mountain towns to spur economic revitalization.

“I’ve donated to the 5 Bucks a foot fundraiser for many years,” Brian said. “This campaign felt special. First, the bike is beautiful. Second, with Grinduro coming back to Quincy in 2025, I wanted to support the Mount Hough trail system. Third, let’s be honest, I’m not getting any younger, so will appreciate the eMTB in exploring the various connected communities. Particularly on the trails that are a bit too technical for my gravel bike.”

CONGRATS BRIAN and thank you for the many years of support, and another huge nod of gratitude to everyone who donated to this fundraiser—together we raised more than $55,000 to help us keep making #dirtmagic in the Lost Sierra.
